Social Place was founded by Dr. Julia King and Olivia Theocharides-Feldman who began working together at the London School of Economics in research. Julia has a background in architecture and Olivia in anthropology. They both believe in the need to address inequality in our public realm and set up Social Place to offer their expertise to marginalised communities who often lack power in urban development processes.

The team has since grown to include more members whose work spans across understanding people and place.
